Minar360 ("we," "us," "our") operates minar360.com and the Minar360 platform, connecting mosques, nonprofits, businesses, halal restaurants, and community members. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Minar360, we may collect:
- Contact information you provide directly, such as your name and email address when you sign up for updates, join the founding partner list, or create an account.
- Organization information submitted by mosques, nonprofits, and businesses creating a profile — name, address, contact details, and content you choose to publish (events, prayer times, announcements).
- Location information you provide, such as a zip code or address, to search for nearby events, mosques, or halal businesses.
- Payment-related information when making or receiving a donation or ticket purchase. Full payment card details are handled directly by our payment processor and are not stored on Minar360's own servers.
- Usage information such as pages visited and general device/browser information, which helps us understand how the site is used and fix problems.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate core features — event discovery, organization profiles, prayer time and athan notifications, donations, and search
- Send updates you've signed up for, such as founding partner notifications or responses to inquiries
- Maintain and improve the platform, including fixing bugs and understanding usage patterns
- Communicate with organizations about their account or listing
4. Payment processing
When you donate through an organization's profile, your payment goes directly to that organization through a third-party payment processor. Minar360 does not hold, take custody of, or have access to donated funds — we facilitate the connection between donor and organization, but the payment processor moves funds directly to the receiving organization. Those providers have their own privacy and security practices governing how they handle your payment details. We do not sell or independently store full card numbers.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use basic cookies or similar local storage to keep the site functioning properly (for example, remembering your search filters) and to understand general site usage. We do not currently use cookies for third-party advertising.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in limited circumstances:
- With service providers who help us operate the platform (such as payment processors and hosting providers), only as needed to provide their service
- With an organization you've chosen to interact with (for example, if you RSVP to their event or donate through their profile)
- If required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Minar360, our users, or the public
7. Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect information using industry-standard practices, including relying on established, secure providers for payment processing and hosting. No method of storing or transmitting data is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices
You can opt out of email updates at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message we send, or by contacting us directly. Organizations can update or request removal of their profile information by contacting us. Community members can request access to or deletion of their personal information by reaching out through the contact details below.
9. Children's privacy
Minar360 is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Minar360 grows and adds new features. We'll update the "last updated" date above when changes are made, and significant changes will be communicated clearly.
